Success in life is more than a one-step process:
Don't think that because nothing happens immediately, that things aren't happening.

#1- Kindness
Tank the time to be deliberately kind.

#2 Candidness
Be responsibly honest and speak the truth in love.

#3 Influence
Think about your circle of family and friends - who do you impact?

EXERCIZE yourself in spite of your weaknesses.

Don't just preach it - BE IT!
Actions speak louder than words!

·         Dream
       Imagine the goal.
·         Meditate
Focus on the goal, "own" the dream.
·         Declare
         Confess, speak victory.
How do I implement these exercises into my daily routine?
#1 - ask yourself "what is my goal?" Don't be afraid to dream! Do you want to lose weight? Read the Bible? Run a marathon? Get a job? It all starts with a dream!
#2 - Meditate on the goal/dream. Focus your prayers and devote quiet time to realizing just what the dream/goal means to you, and what it is going to take to come to fruition.
#3 - Speak victory over yourself. Confess your sins to God, and remove those stumbling blocks from your path. Vocalize the dream! Expel the enemy. Want to stop eatig junk food? Tell yourself out loud, "I do not need this food. I will eat healthy. I can do this."
Philippians 4:13 NKJV
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

Be Anxious For Nothing

Be Anxious For Nothing
Pastor Bobby Spencer
December 4, 2011
I. Understand the problem
Anxiety is a form of fear, and is characterized as mental agitation or uneasiness.
Anxiety has 3 main elements:
Insecurity, Helplessness, and Isolation
Worry is like a rocking chair - it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere!
II. Overcome the problem by trusting in God
Hebrews 4:16
Hebrews 13: 5-6
Isaiah 40:31
III. Take the next steps
Read the Bible - Romans 15:4
Be Realistic - Ecclesiastes 8:16-17
Be flexible - Philippians 4:11-12
Focus on the good cares; minimize the unnecessary ones - Matthew 13:22
Learn to live one day at a time - Matthew 6:34
Learn contentment - 1 Timothy 6:6-8
Take home: Instead of immersing yourself in the problem, exhibit reverence and gratitude to GOD!
Count your blessings!

Strength Through Weakness part3

Strength Through Weakness
Pastor Bobby Spencer

More benefits of our Weaknesses:
The best way to fight weakness is to get stronger!
1. It helps us minister to others
2 Corinthians 1:4 (NLT)
Hebrews 4:15 (NLT)
2. It helps us respect and value other people
1 Corinthians 12:18-22 (NLT)
3. It reveals God's glory in us and through us
2 Corinthians 4:7 (NLT)
Take home lesson: we need to value others more!
When a person thinks that they are strong, they don't realize they need other people.
When we identify our weaknesses, we see that others can be strong where we are weak.
God designed us all with a specific purpose, and to work together- as parts of a whole.

Strength Through Weakness part2

Strength Through Weakness

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NLT 7 even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. 8 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The greater the weakness, the greater God's power in your life, to overcome it, perfect it, and define you.
Through your frailties, insecurities and weaknesses, God can do a mighty work, if you surrender and submit to Him.
Benefits of our Weaknesses:
It prevents pride
Paul says, in 2 Cor 12:7 that the thorn in the flesh is designed by God to keep us humble, and reliant on Him.

It assures us of God's Grace and Help
Zechariah 4:6 NLT
